Piatti La Jolla sits at 2182 Avenida De La Playa in the heart of La Jolla Shores, about a 5 minute walk from Kellogg Park and the beach. We have been serving classic Italian cooking since 1987, and we are open daily for lunch and dinner.

Handmade Pasta & Italian Cooking

Pasta is rolled and cut by hand each day. Guests come back for the lasagna, the short rib cannelloni, the pappardelle with saffron and shrimp, and the linguine with mussels, clams, calamari, shrimp and fresh fish. Gluten free dishes are marked on the menu, and there is a vegan pizza with plant based mozzarella.

Outdoor Dining Under the Ficus Tree

Piatti has two outdoor patios. The back patio is set beneath the restaurant's landmark Ficus tree, which is lit at night. It is heated, not covered and available weather permitting. Dogs are welcome on both patios.

Kids 11 and under have their own menu, with pasta, pizza and grilled chicken from $9 to $15, and every kids meal comes with a scoop of gelato. High chairs are available.

There is also a free public lot at La Jolla Shores Beach, a short walk away, though it tends to fill up early, especially on summer weekends. Several paid lots nearby, including one across the street on weekends, are also available; these lots are not affiliated with Piatti. Allow a few extra minutes to find a spot on busy days.
